Easter

Easter is here!

We celebrate Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the cross!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  (1 Peter 1.3).”

Come join us in the reflection and rejoicing of our Savior and what he has done for us.  Whether you come regularly or not or are just curious about what Easter really means,  we would love to see you.

Good Friday Service:  March 30 at 7 PM
Easter Breakfast:  April 1 at 9 AM
Easter Worship Service: April 1 at 10 AM
Easter Egg Hunt: April 1 after service

Completion

Starting this Sunday, Sept 10th, I will begin a sermon series thought the book  of Philippians titled, “Completion.” The title is based off of Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” The idea is that when we are born again we have not arrived. When we are born again, we gain the DNA of Christ much like an acorn has the DNA of an Oak Tree. Like an acorn, we must germinate, get the proper nutrients and water in order to grow into in Oak Tree, so we must germinate in our faith and gain the proper spiritual nutrients to grow into the Oak Tree – the likeness of Jesus Christ.  My hope for this sermon series  is that it bears a lot of fruit in yourself and in the church. Please also read through the book of Philippians a couple of times so that it is on your heart as we begin.

Easter

Matthew 28:6: The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

Jesus has RISEN!  Celebrate with us on Easter Sunday, April 16, at 10:00 AM.

Denver Baptist Church will also have an Easter breakfast for anyone who wants to join us at 9:00 AM.

After the service, we will have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children.  When you see the children searching for the eggs,  think about how we all search for truth or for freedom from our burdens.   Jesus isn’t hard to find.  He’s waiting for you.   He died for our sins and rose from the dead victorious, so that we can have a relationship with God.    The bible, the word of God,  speaks the truth.  Jesus is the answer to all who seek.

Palm Sunday

Join Us This Sunday!

Palm Sunday is a day to remember how Jesus entered into Jerusalem triumphantly.  The people greeted Jesus, placing branches in his path, hoping he would be the next great leader to help save them.  Little did they know that Jesus would be the one to save us all!

Our King of Kings rode on a donkey as Zechariah foretold in Zechariah 9:9.  “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!  Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!  See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

This Palm Sunday, we will celebrate our King, Righteous and Victorious!  Join us in thanking Jesus for dying for our sins and for His amazing grace!
