Good Friday Service

Denver, Iowa
We invite you to our Good Friday Service on March 30th at 7 PM. We will be singing songs and seeing from God’s Word why Jesus had to die. Whether you are already a part of our church, looking for a church, or wondering what this Jesus thing is all about, we welcome you to come join us this Good Friday.
Denver Baptist Church will be hosting a prayer service with other area churches (i.e. Grace Baptist in Waverly, Riverwood Church in Waverly, Open Bible in Jesup & more). Come join us in prayer for a time of adoration for Jesus, our Savior, and to pray for our local area here is Iowa. Fellowship afterwards where a light meal will be served.
As mentioned in the previous post, Advent Conspiracy encourages people to give to a worthy cause instead of spending money on gifts that people don’t really need. Denver Baptist Church encourages you to help us support Denver Cares, a small group that helps people here in Denver, IA with gas, food, and other bills.
We ask for you to consider supporting Denver Cares with us. It’s so easy, you just have to do this:
Please help us support those in our community!
Advent Conspiracy encourages people to worship Jesus fully as they spend less, give more, and love all. We, as a church, want to encourage you to do the same. In short, this is how it works: Consider how much you typically spend at Christmas. Instead of buying gifts for people, take that money and donate it. Then at Christmas time, you can give them a card and let them know that you donated it to a certain cause in their name.
This Christmas season, Denver Baptist Church is going to be supporting Denver Cares. Denver Cares is a small group in Denver, IA, dedicated to helping those in our own community. They help with gas, food, and other bills. Jesus sought, loved, and helped the least of these.
We ask for you to consider this whole advent conspiracy concept and help us support Denver Cares. Contact Denver Baptist Church if you want to know more! We hope and pray that you have a blessed Christmas, celebrating Jesus, “the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as the the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
