Megan Smith’s World Race

Our very own Megan Smith is ready to share her love for God in the world.  Please support her by praying for her and providing for her financially.  Her first trip will be heading to Haiti in May.    In September, she will be going on a mission trip called The World Race, and she needs our support.

The World Race is sponsored by an organization called Adventures in Missions.  The trip will take Megan to 3 continents in 9 months.  She will be going to Nicaragua, Swaziland, Lesotho, India, and Nepal.

You can support her in several ways.  Check out her blog at

 1. Pray–  Pray for her safety and for her to experience and share God’s amazing grace.

2. Financially– This trip will cost 15,000$.  We pray that you consider supporting her in any way that you can.  Donate by going to or simply write her a check.     If donating on the site, please make sure to include her middle name as another Megan Smith has been on the trip.

3. Buy a 20$ shirt from her Facebook page.

4. Buy a 10$ scarf.  Contact Wispy Willow in Denver or Deb Smith Studio.

Matthew 28:6: The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

Jesus has RISEN!  Celebrate with us on Easter Sunday, April 16, at 10:00 AM.

Denver Baptist Church will also have an Easter breakfast for anyone who wants to join us at 9:00 AM.

After the service, we will have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children.  When you see the children searching for the eggs,  think about how we all search for truth or for freedom from our burdens.   Jesus isn’t hard to find.  He’s waiting for you.   He died for our sins and rose from the dead victorious, so that we can have a relationship with God.    The bible, the word of God,  speaks the truth.  Jesus is the answer to all who seek.

Good Friday

Good Friday Service
Friday, April 14, at 7:00 PM, we gather together to remember Christ’s sacrifice.
He shed His blood for you and me.

Hebrews 12.2-3:   Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Palm Sunday

Join Us This Sunday!

Palm Sunday is a day to remember how Jesus entered into Jerusalem triumphantly.  The people greeted Jesus, placing branches in his path, hoping he would be the next great leader to help save them.  Little did they know that Jesus would be the one to save us all!

Our King of Kings rode on a donkey as Zechariah foretold in Zechariah 9:9.  “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!  Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!  See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

This Palm Sunday, we will celebrate our King, Righteous and Victorious!  Join us in thanking Jesus for dying for our sins and for His amazing grace!
